Rajasthan's fielding coach, Dishant Yagnik has been tested positive for the global virus, the franchise confirmed on Wednesday.
Yagnik will now be in a 14-day quarantine and will have to undergo two negative tests in order to rejoin his team. He, however, will have to self-isolate himself for six more days upon arrival in the UAE.
Rajasthan are set to be in Mumbai next week in order to depart for the United Arab Emirates for the 13th edition of the Indian T20 League, which is set to being on September 19 and will run until November 10.
Yagnik as well as his team, Rajasthan, took to Twitter to confirm the news, and an official statement from the franchise read,
"The test was undertaken keeping in mind that the team members need to assemble in Mumbai next week for their flight to UAE. The franchise implemented an extra test for all players, support staff and management traveling to the UAE in addition to the two tests recommended by BCCI, to ensure as robust a process as possible," the franchise said in a statement.
