The Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2023 tournament will begin on April 22 and will end on September 24.
A women’s cricket 50-over domestic competition in England, the upcoming edition will be the fourth season of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.
A total of eight teams will be participating in the tournament with all sides competing against each other twice in the league stage in a round-robin format.
The eight teams that will be a part of this tournament are Central Sparks, Northern Diamonds, North West Thunder, South East Stars, Southern Vipers, Sunrisers, The Blaze, and Western Storm.
There will be a total of 58 games in this tournament, including a playoff encounter to determine the second finalists after the league stage and the final.
The top team at the end of the league stage will secure a direct spot in the final, while the second and third-place sides will square off in a playoff to determine the other finalists.
In the league stage, each team will get four points for a win, while a bonus point will be awarded when a winning side’s net run rate is 1.25 or more.
Northern Diamonds are the reigning Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy champions and they will face Western Storm in the opening match of the tournament.
