The Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2022 starts with Central Sparks and Southern Vipers squaring off in the season-opener on Saturday, July 2.
As in recent seasons, the third edition of the 50-over tournament will have eight teams - Central Sparks, Lightning, Northern Diamonds, North West Thunder, South East Stars, Southern Vipers, Sunrisers and Western Storm.
The group stage, which comprises 28 games, will be played between July 2 and September 17. Each team will play the other seven teams once in the round-robin format.
The knockouts are scheduled from September 21 onwards with the top three teams moving into the playoffs.
The winner of the play-off between the second and third-placed teams on September 21 will lock horns with the top-ranked team in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2022 final on September 25. The final will be played at the Lord’s Stadium in London.
Southern Vipers are the most successful team in the history of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy with two titles.
