The Pakistan Super League 2022 will start on January 27, with the opening match featuring defending champions Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Islamabad United, the most successful team in PSL history with two titles, will open their campaign against last year’s finalists Peshawar Zalmi on January 30.

The seventh edition of PSL will have 34 matches played across two venues, Karachi and Lahore.

The tournament will be played in a round-robin and playoff format and feature the likes of Mohammad Rizwan (Multan Sultans), Shaheen Shah Afridi (Lahore Qalandars), and Wahab Riaz (Peshawar Zalmi) in action.

The six teams competing in Pakistan Super League 2022 are Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.

There will be six double-header fixtures in Pakistan Super League 2022. The afternoon matches will begin at 3 PM IST, while certain evening matches will alternate between 7.30 PM and 8 PM IST.

The final group stage fixture between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi will be played on February 21 before the playoffs start from February 23.

The final of Pakistan Super League 2022 will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on February 27.
