The second edition of the Pondicherry Women’s T20 tournament 2024 will kick-start in Pondicherry on July 15.
Defending champions Angels Women will take on Queens Women in the opening match of the tournament at the Cricket Association Puducherry Ground 4.
The tournament is being conducted by the Cricket Association of Puducherry and will have four teams competing for the title in a total of 13 matches over a week. Princess Women and Diamonds Women are the other two sides in the competition.
Each team will play the other three teams twice in a double round-robin format before the top two teams proceed to face off in the final scheduled on July 21 at 8:30 AM (IST). There is no reserve day for the final.
All matches in the Pondicherry Women’s T20 tournament 2024 will be played at the Cricket Association Puducherry Ground 4 in Pondicherry.
Angels Women won the first edition of the tournament as they beat Princess Women by 10 wickets in a rain-shortened final reduced to 8-over a side.
The Pondicherry Women’s T20 Tournament 2024 is planned to start the day after the final of the Pondicherry Men’s T20 tournament 2024, which will be held at the Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground on July 14.
