Pondicherry Veteran's T20 2022-23 to commence on December 24 - watch live in India

The Pondicherry Veteran's T20 2022-23 is all set to get underway on December 24, 2022. All the matches of the campaign will be held at the Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground. The 21-match tournament will continue till January 3, 2023.

The five participating teams in the competition are Kariakal Veterans XI, Mahe Veterans XI, Pondicherry Veterans President XI, Pondicherry Veterans Secretary XI and Yanam Veterans XI. Pondicherry Veterans Secretary XI will lock horns with Kariakal Veterans XI in the first match of the tournament.

All the participants will face each other twice in a round-robin format in the league phase. Two fixtures will be played on each matchday, one at 3:30 PM and the other at 7:30 PM.

The top two teams will square off in the Pondicherry Veteran's T20 2022-23 final on January 3, 2023.

This will be the second regional tournament in as many months in the Union Territory following the conclusion of the Pondicherry T20 in November.

Karaikal XI defeated Pondicherry North XI by 99 runs in the one-sided final of the Pondicherry T20 competition to clinch the title after finishing second in the league stage.

Pondicherry West XI’s G. Thamizhmani finished as the leading run-scorer with 296 runs in nine matches including two half-centuries and Pondicherry North XI’s Rajakavi Rajagopal topped the wicket-taking charts, bagging 25 scalps in 12 matches.
