Defending champions Pakistanska Forening (PF) will take on a new-look Stockholm (STO) side as both teams open their respective campaigns in match 3 of ECS T10 Sweden 2021 at the Norsborg Cricket Ground, Stockholm on Monday, July 19.
PF were the champions of ECS Cricket Series Stockholm 2020 in a campaign that saw them remain unbeaten. They have lost a few players from their winning team but will still start as favourites in Group A.
STO finished second from the bottom in their group in the 2020 edition of the tournament. They have managed to get fresh talent in their ranks this time to boost their chances and pose a real threat in Group A.

The past performances of these teams have been quite contrasting. While PF emerged winners through an unbeaten run, STO struggled in more ways than one. The upcoming clash is heavily loaded in favour of PF considering the quality they possess in their squad. STO will have to play out of their skins to go one-up against the reigning champions.

Top tip: Best batsmen
Choudry Ali is the batsman to watch out for in the PF camp. He scored 192 runs in seven matches at a staggering strike rate of 197.93 in ECS 2020 and is going to be the mainstay for his side at the top of the order.
STO are going to be highly dependent on Abhishek Mathur. In the last season, he scored a total of 61 runs in four matches and was their highest run-getter. Though his team could not have a big impact last time around, he will be eager to turn things around with his attacking style of play.
Top tip: Best bowlers
Muhammad Bilal holds they key for PF in terms of bowling. He grabbed eight wickets in five matches in 2020 with a best of 4/13 and an economy rate of 5.75. Fantasy players will be hoping that he can deliver for his team once again.
Niranjan Komalla is the bowler to keep an eye out for in the STO camp. He took five wickets in four matches with a best of 2/19 last season and will be hoping to produce better performances this time around.
