Peshawar Zalmi (PES) will take on Karachi Kings (KK) in the 24th game of the Pakistan Super League T20 on Tuesday, June 15, at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Hot and clear weather is expected for this game. The pitch at the venue has aided batsmen in the past with the average score being around the 154-run mark.
PES vs KK Dream11 prediction
In their previous game, Peshawar went down to Multan by eight wickets on June 13. Karachi also lost their last match against Multan on June 10. Karachi will take on Islamabad later in the evening today, before they meet Peshawar on June 15.
Currently, Peshawar are third on the points table with eight points in as many games. Meanwhile, Karachi are fourth on the points table with six points in six games. When the two teams met earlier in the competition, Karachi beat Peshawar by six wickets.
Considering their current form and line-up, there is little to separate the two teams, so expect an even contest between them.
PES vs KK best players to pick for PSL fantasy team
Top tip: Best batsmen
Although Karachi Kings lost against Multan Sultans, Babar Azam was the best batsman on show. Opening the batting, he scored 85 in 63 balls, which included five 4s and four 6s. He is not only the best Pakistani batsman today, but Babar is also widely recognised as one the greats in international cricket. In his last 10 innings of T20 cricket, he has scored close to 400 runs, including a highest score of 122 against South Africa.
Shoaib Malik is one of the T20 veterans going around in world cricket, having featured in every league. Although he got out for a duck in the last game against Multan, his knock of 73 in 48 balls against Lahore Qalandars is a better indicator of his form. Moreover, he can also be called upon to bowl a few overs and it is not to be forgotten that he has a happy knack of picking wickets.
Top tip: Best bowlers
Wahab Riaz is one of the leading pacers in the Pakistan Super League. He can open the bowling and also operates at the death for Peshawar. Riaz might have gone wicketless in his last game, but in his last 10 games in the PSL T20, he has picked up 15 wickets with best figures of 4/17. He has also given 413 fantasy cricket points in PSL 2021 so far.
Mohammad Amir is perhaps the best pace bowler in Pakistan now. Unfortunately, the prodigious talent is facing several issues with his premature retirement. That said, he is a hot pick in fantasy leagues as far as PSL T20 is concerned. If he can find his rhythm early on, Amir has the ability to run through the opposition. He has given in excess of 200 fantasy cricket points till now.
Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper
Karachi captain Imad Wasim will be a big asset in the all-rounder’s category. He will surely operate with the new ball in the powerplay and as we have often seen in the past, he picks up wickets. Wasim is not a big turner of the ball, but his ability to keep things tight in the powerplay keeps him in the hunt for wickets. He can also be a useful batsman down the order.
You can also consider Thisara Perera or Fabien Allen in this category. However, since they are overseas professionals, their place in the playing 11 is never certain.
Kamran Akmal of Peshawar will be the best choice as a wicket-keeper for this contest. The former Pakistani cricketer will open the batting and will go after the new ball in the powerplay. In the last match, he scored 35 of 27 balls against Multan Sultans. He even scored 59 against Quetta a few days ago and has accumulated 313 fantasy cricket points so far.
