The Pakistan Women vs West Indies Women ODI 2024 series will start in Karachi on Thursday, April 18. 

The upcoming three-match ODI series is a part of the ICC Women's Championship 2022-25. 

With eight wins in 18 matches, Pakistan Women are currently placed fifth in the ICC Women's Championship 2022-25 standings with 16 points.

West Indies Women, on the other hand, have registered three wins, suffered seven defeats while two matches ended in no results. They are placed ninth in the standings with eight points.

Ahead of the series, the Pakistan women's national cricket team has announced their 16-member squad.

Currently ranked 10th in the ICC women’s ODI team rankings, the hosts will be led by veteran all-rounder Nida Dar.

Wicketkeeper-batter Sidra Nawaz and Ayesha Zafar have been recalled to Pakistan Women’s T20I squad.

Furthermore, Gull Feroza, Rameen Shamim and Tuba Hassan have also returned to the squad.

Former captain Bismah Maroof, who was involved in a car accident last week, has been included in the squad but will only be added to the team once she clears her fitness test.

On the other hand, the West Indies women's cricket team will be led by Hayley Matthews in the upcoming ODI series.

Kate Wilmott has received her maiden national call-up in West Indies’ squad for the series.

Qiana Joseph and Chedean Nation have also been recalled to the 15-member squad. 

West Indies are currently ranked sixth in the ICC women’s ODI team rankings and last played a 50-over series against Australia which ended in a 0-2 loss in October 2023.

All matches in the upcoming three-match ODI series will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi. Matches are scheduled to be played on April 18, 21, and 23.

Pakistan Women vs West Indies Women ODI head-to-head 

West Indies Women have a dominant head-to-head record against Pakistan Women in ODI cricket, winning 24 of the 34 matches that they have played so far. Pakistan have 10 wins.

The last time these two sides met in 50-over format, Pakistan Women beat West Indies by eight wickets in an ICC Women's World Cup match in Hamilton in March 2022.
