The Sri Lanka women’s cricket team begin their tour of Pakistan with a three-match T20I series starting from Tuesday, May 24.

This will be the third bilateral series between the teams in 20-overs cricket and the first since 2017-18, where Pakistan came out winners by a 2-1 margin.

Pakistan women, for starters, have struggled for form since 2020 as they have won just two matches since February 2020. Furthermore, they are coming off a disappointing T20I series against West Indies where they were whitewashed by a 0-3 margin.

Sri Lanka, on the contrary, have won their last five T20I matches. It has been a remarkable turnaround for the team given they registered just a win in four T20 games in the 2020 calendar year.
