The first match of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and West Indies will be played at Multan Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, June 7. The match will start at 4:30 PM IST (Indian Standard Time).
Pakistan, whose last international assignment came against Australia a couple of months back, host a rather young West Indies side which will be without several first-team regulars. And so, a certain Nicholas Pooran has been given the opportunity to captain the side.

Pakistan’s last assignment in the 50-overs format ended in a 2-1 home series win against Australia. After losing the first match by 88 runs, the Babar Azam-led side bounced back by winning consecutive matches to win the three-match series.
Interestingly enough, between July 2021 and March 2022, Pakistan have played just six ODI matches and the mentioned wins over Australia are the only positives they have in the format.
West Indies, on the other hand, are coming on the back of a 3-0 series win over the Netherlands. Before that, however, they lost 2-1 to Ireland in a three-match ODI series
