The Afghanistan A cricket team will face Oman in an unofficial T20I series scheduled from October 17 to 23.

Oman is hosting the Afghanistan cricket team for the first time for a white-ball series. The T20I series will include five unofficial matches.

All the matches of the Afghanistan A tour of Oman 2023 will be played at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Muscat, Oman.

Earlier, the Afghanistan cricket team was involved in a two-match unofficial ODI series against Oman. The Afghanistan team registered wins in both the 50-over games. 

In the first day-night encounter, Afghanistan, riding on Zubaid Akbari’s 76, posted 223 and then bowled out Oman for 195.   

In the second match, Afghanistan scored 272/8. Abdul Malik was the top scorer with 117. In reply, Oman were restricted to 257, handing the visitors a 15-run win. 

The Afghanistan cricket board has sent a second-string team to Oman instead of the senior team, which is participating in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 in India.

Live streaming of the Afghanistan A tour of Oman 2023-24 will be available on the FanCode app and website in India. 

There will be no live telecast of the cricket tournament on any TV channel in India.
