Organised by New Zealand Cricket (NZC), North Island Women and South Island Women will compete in a three-match T20 series.
After the opening game on March 1, the second and third game will be played on March 2 and 3.
All matches of the North Island vs South Island Women’s T20 Series 2024 will be played at McLean Park in Napier.
Several rising domestic stars will feature in the upcoming women’s T20 series.
The series was introduced last summer to offer more playing opportunities to emerging talents to reduce the gap between domestic and international cricket.
The selection of the players are based on performance across the domestic Hallyburton Johnstone Shield and the Women’s Super Smash tournaments.
North Island Women will be led by Wellington Blaze spinner Leigh Kasperek while Otago Sparks all-rounder Hayley Jensen will captain South Island Women.
Meanwhile, North Island won the inaugural edition of the New Zealand Cricket’s Women’s T20 Series last summer.
