The New Zealand cricket team will host Bangladesh in a three-match T20 International (T20I) series starting on Wednesday, December 27.

As per the New Zealand vs Bangladesh T20Is 2023 schedule, the first match will be played at the McLean Park in Napier.

The second and third T20Is will be hosted at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on December 29 and 31.

New Zealand will head into the T20I series after clinching the three-match ODI series 2-1 against Bangladesh.

Bowling all-rounder Mitchell Santner will lead New Zealand after captain Kane Williamson was replaced from the T20I squad on precautionary grounds in order to have him ready for the upcoming Test series against South Africa and Australia.

Along with Williamson, fast bowler Kyle Jamieson has also been withdrawn from the squad due to medical advice and scheduling considerations.

World Cup star Rachin Ravindra and pacer Jacob Duffy have been added to the squad as replacements for Williamson and Jamieson.

The likes of Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Tim Southee and Ish Sodhi are some of the experienced faces included in New Zealand’s T20I squad.

On the other hand, the Bangladesh cricket team will aim to continue their winning momentum after registering their first-ever ODI win in Bangladesh in the final game.

The visitors will be led by Najmul Hossain Shanto while Mehidy Hasan Miraz will be Shanto’s deputy.

Wicketkeeper-batter Liton Das,  Soumya Sarkar, Mustafizur Rahman, Towhid Hridoy and Shoriful Islam will be some of the key players for Bangladesh in the upcoming three-match T20I series.
