New Zealand tour of West Indies 2022 features three T20Is and as many ODIs, starting Thursday, August 11. The matches in the shortest format will be played at Sabina Park while Kensington Oval Barbados will host the 50-over matches.

The home team will look to put on an improved performance as they are coming off the back of a 1-4 T20I series defeat against India. The Men in Maroon were extremely underwhelming throughout the series as India won with relative ease.

New Zealand, on the other hand, have been playing minnows like Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands in the shortest format. Interestingly, while they have been defeated in Test cricket, they are yet to be beaten in limited-overs cricket in 2022, having won seven ODIs and just as many T20Is this year.

Meanwhile, the Kiwis have picked a full-strength squad for the upcoming white-ball series. This includes the return of Kane Williamson, Trent Boult, Devon Conway and Tim Southee to the setup.

As far as West Indies are concerned, they will take the field with a similar squad that took on India.

West Indies and New Zealand have played a total of 16 T20I matches in the past, with the former managing a mere three victories while the Kiwis have come out on top on eight occasions. Three games ended in a tie and there were also two no results.

ODI head-to-head

On the other hand, the ODI head-to-head record puts West Indies in front as they have won 30 of their 65 meetings against New Zealand while losing 28 times.
