The England cricket team will feature in a three-match ODI series against the Netherlands, starting Friday, June 17. All the matches will be played at VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen.
Led by their white-ball specialist Eoin Morgan, England have named a full-fledged squad for the 50-over matches, with the likes of Jason Roy, Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone and Moeen Ali finding a place in the team.
Furthermore, while Sam Billings misses out, David Payne and Luke Wood are in line to make their England debuts in Amstelveen.
Interestingly enough, the Netherlands tour is going to be England’s first ODI assignment since July 2021 when they hosted Pakistan for a three-match series. Since then, the Three Lions have only played either Test cricket or T20I matches.
It’s important to note that they are currently in the midst of a three-match home Test series against New Zealand.
For the Netherlands, they have been rather active on the international stage, having just hosted West Indies in a three-match ODI series. Before that, they also played New Zealand in as many ODIs away from home.
