Zimbabwe A begin their tour of Nepal with three One-Day matches, starting Saturday, April 30. Post the 50-over matches, the two teams will challenge each other in three T20s.
The Nepal cricket team will be led by their maverick 21-year-old bowler Sandeep Lamichhane. Furthermore, their promising U-19 all-rounder Basir Ahmad has been included in the team for the first time.
As for Zimbabwe A, Tinotenda Mutombodzi has been given the responsibility of captaining the side. The team has as many as eight capped players who have played for Zimbabwe’s senior team in the past.
All the matches, including the ODIs as well as T20s, will be played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
The upcoming matches will act as a part of Nepal’s preparation for the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 where they will take on the USA and Oman in a Tri-Series.
