The Nepal A vs Ireland Wolves ODI series 2024 will start in Kirtipur on Wednesday, April 3. 

Organised by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), Nepal A will host Ireland Wolves in a three-match unofficial One Day series.

As per the schedule, all three matches of the upcoming series will be played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on April 3, 5 and 7.

Led by captain Binod Bhandari, Nepal A will aim to bounce back after suffering a 1-2 series defeat in the recently-concluded three-match T20I series.

Meanwhile, Mausam Dhakal, Rupesh Singh, Ranjit Kumar and Naren Bhatta have been included in Nepal A’s One Day squad. Senior side members Bhim Sharki, Arjun Saud,  Aarif Sheikh and Dev Khanal are also added in the squad. 

On the other hand, Ireland Wolves, the second-tier team of Ireland, will be brimming with confidence after winning the T20I series.

Under the leadership of Neil Rock, Ireland Wolves won the first T20I by 21 runs before registering a 40-run victory in the second game to clinch the series. 

The hosts later ended the series with a consolation win as they pipped Ireland Wolves by three runs in the third and final T20I.

Earlier, Nepal A’s Aarif Sheikh finished with the most runs in the recently concluded T20 series, having amassed 156 runs in three matches.

Ireland A all-rounder Fionn Hand has been the leading wicket-taker in the ongoing series, having bagged eight scalps so far.

Going by recent form, Ireland A will start as slight favourites against Nepal A in the upcoming three-match 50-over series.
