The Mon Repos Stars (MRS) will take on South Castries Lions (SCL) at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium on Friday, May 14 in the third-place match in St Lucia T10 Blast 2021.
Both MRS and SCL failed to win their respective semi-final matches on Thursday. While the Repos Stars went down to Micoud Eagles by 9 wickets, after failing to defend a target of 81 runs, SCL could not chase down Choiseul Coal Pots' target of 115 in 10 overs as they fell 36-runs short.

Even though South Castries Lions experienced an off day against CCP in the semi-final on Thursday, they have otherwise been a consistent side in the tournament. They went into Thursday's match on the back of consecutive victories against Mabouya Valley Constrictors, Vieux Fort North Raiders and Central Castries Mindoo Heritage.
MRS, on the other hand, will go into Friday’s contest following a win, a loss and a no result in their campaign. While MRS defeated Babonneau Leatherbacks, they lost to CCP after their clash against Soufriere Sulphur City Stars was abandoned as well. Hence, SCL are expected to get the better of MRS and finish third in the tournament this season.

For Mon Repos Stars, Craig Emmanuel will lead the batting line-up with his blistering form. Having played five matches in the tournament so far, Emmanuel has scored 108 runs and taken two wickets. He has 227 fantasy points and is expected to end his campaign with a bang against SCL.
The South Castries Lions haven't had a good season with specialist batsmen, which is evident by the fact that their go-to man with the bat Wade Clovis has scored 21 runs in five matches. Despite the substandard numbers, Clovis remains the best bet among the SCL batsmen.

What Repos Stars have essentially lacked this season has been a specialist bowler. Their best performer with the ball has been Dichege Henry who has played just twice so far and taken two wickets.
Xavier Gabriel is a good pick for the bowlers from the SCL team given his contribution with both the leather and the willow. He has taken two wickets in five matches for the Lions and has scored 55 runs as well, fetching 166 points in the tournament so far.

One of the main reasons for MRS' long run till the knockouts of this tournament has been all-rounder Sadrack Descartes. Having been an integral part of their squad, Descartes has played five matches, scoring 75 runs and taking four wickets. With a whopping 262 fantasy points to his name, he is the best all-rounder from both sides.
SCL's Johnson Charles’ superior wicket-keeping skills makes him the pick among the glovemen. Apart from his heroics behind the stumps, Charles has been brilliant with the bat, scoring 187 runs in five matches and taking a wicket as well. He has 362 fantasy points, the best in all departments from both teams.
