Most runs in SA20 2024: Know which player tops the run-scoring charts

The SA20 2024, South Africa’s T20 franchise cricket tournament, started on January 10 and will run till February 10.

As many as six teams are competing in a total of 34 matches across four weeks in the second edition of SA20.

Durban’s Super Giants, Joburg Super Kings, MI Cape Town, Paarl Royals, Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape are the teams battling for the SA20 2024 title.

Some of the top T20 batters including the likes of Phil Salt, Aiden Markram, Rilee Rossouw, Jos Buttler, Reeza Hendricks, Dawid Malan, Reeza Hendricks and Nicholas Pooran are featuring in the ongoing T20 League.

South Africa’s young batter Ryan Rickelton slammed the first fifty of SA20 2024. Representing MI Cape Town, Rickelton smashed 87 off 51 balls against Durban's Super Giants in the second match of the ongoing T20 tournament. 

Rickelton’s teammate Rassie van der Dussen later slammed the first century of SA20 2024. The MI Cape Town opening batter scored a 50-ball 104 versus Joburg Super Kings at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. His magnificent knock was laced with nine fours and six maximums.

Apart from Ryan Rickelton and Rassie van der Dussen, the likes of Heinrich Klaasen, Jos Buttler, Leus du Plooy, David Miller and Rilee Rossouw are in contention to be the top run-scorers in the ongoing SA20.

Paarl Royals’ wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler finished with the most runs in the SA20 last season. 

The swashbuckling England batter amassed 391 runs in 11 matches at an average of 39.10 and a strike rate of 132.54. He slammed four fifties in the inaugural edition. 

Joburg Super Kings’ Faf du Plessis was the second-highest run-scorer with 369 runs in 11 matches.
