After Brisbane Heat captain Jess Jonassen won the toss and opted to field, the hosts rode on Grace Parsons’s three-wicket haul to restrict Sydney Thunder to 133/7 in their 20 overs.
In reply, wicketkeeper-batter Georgia Redmayne slammed 50 while Jemimah Rodrigues remained retired hurt on 43 and helped Brisbane Heat chase down the target in 15.2 overs to reach their fourth WBBL final.
Brisbane Heat have previously won the Women’s Big Bash League on two occasions in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
Apart from Heat, Sydney Sixers, Sydney Thunder and Adelaide Strikers have bagged the WBBL title twice each.
Meanwhile, Melbourne Renegades will aim to clinch their first WBBL title on Sunday.
