Micoud Eagles will lock horns with Mon Repos Stars in the first semi-final of the St Lucia T10 Blast 2021 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet on Thursday, May 13.
Led by two-time ICC T20 World Cup-winning captain Daren Sammy, newcomers Micoud Eagles finished the league phase as Group A table-toppers, winning three of their four matches. However, their only loss in the tournament came against Central Castries Mindoo Heritage as they suffered a four-wicket defeat in their last group encounter.
Interestingly, Micoud Eagles had won all their matches in the progression round, defeating Soufriere Sulphur City Stars, Laborie Ray Royals and Vieux fort South Sunrisers.
On the other hand, last year finalists Mon Repos Stars have won two of their four matches in Group B, finishing the league phase in the second spot with five points from four games. They had lost to Choiseul Coal Pots by eight wickets while their fixture against Soufriere Sulphur City Stars was abandoned.
