Defending champions Malo (MAL) will lock horns with Friendship CC (FRD) in the second match of ECS T10 Cartaxo 2021 at the Cartaxo Cricket Ground in Portugal on Monday, September 6.
Led by captain Mian Mehmood, Malo thrashed Alvalade CC by 10 wickets in the ECS T10 Cartaxo final last year to claim the elusive ECS title.
On the other hand, Friendship CC (FRD) are making their ECS T10 debut this season alongside two other teams - Fighters CC (FIG) and Wild Panthers (WLP).

Amir Zaib of Malo was the leading wicket-taker in the last edition of ECS T10 Cartaxo. The right-arm medium-pacer claimed 10 wickets in seven matches at an economy of just 6.85. He is likely to be the go-to bowler for the defending champions once again.

As far as all-rounders are concerned, one must pick Malo’s Zafar Ali in their fantasy cricket team. Ali scored 104 runs in five matches last season at an average of 52 and at a strike rate of 142.46. He also picked four wickets at an economy of 5.55.
