Madhya Pradesh League 2024 started on June 15 and will run till June 23 at the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) International Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.
The inaugural edition of MPL is a franchise-based professional T20 cricket league, featuring five teams and it is being organised by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association under the aegis of MPCA.
A total of 12 matches will be played over the course of the eight-day long tournament and five teams will compete against each other to claim the title.
Gwalior Cheetahs, Bhopal Leopards, Jabalpur Lions, Rewa Jaguars and Malwa Panthers are the participating teams that will lock horns against each other in the round-robin league phase.
Rajat Patidar, Venkatesh Iyer and Kuldeep Sen are some of the icon players and star attractions in the tournament.
The top team in the league table after the group engagements will proceed directly to the final scheduled for June 23.
The second and third-placed teams will meet in the eliminator on June 22 with the winner proceeding to the final.
All games in MPL 2024 are being held at the MPCA International Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.
Jabalpur Lions had a strong start to the tournament and seem likely to qualify for the final. However, the chasing pack isn’t too far behind and will also be eyeing a spot in the MPL 2023 final.
