Two teams with an entirely different start to their St Lucia T10 Blast 2021 season take on each other as Mabouya Valley Constrictors (MAC) lock horns with Vieux Fort North Raiders (VFNR) in the 14th match of the competition at the Daren Sammy Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
While MAC started their season on a bad note, losing out to Micoud Eagles by eight wickets, VFNR got the better of Central Castries Mindoo Heritage in their season opener. MAC have, in fact, struggled for results since the last edition of the tournament. In their last five outings in St. Lucia T10, they have managed to win a solitary game.
VFNR, on the other hand, have been a dominant side. They have won three of their last five games in the competition.

Judging by the current form, Vieux Fort North Raiders are rightly expected to beat Mabouya Valley Constrictors. The odds are highly in favour of VFNR as the team showed some brilliant individual performances in their previous game.

Zachary Edmund for Mabouya Valley Constrictors is expected to be in the spotlight. Arriving at No. 3 against Micoud Eagles in his team’s previous game, he went on to score 29 off just 22 balls and managed to churn out 39 points for the fantasy gamers.
For Vieux Fort North Raiders, keep an eye on their opener Tariq Gabriel. An affordable option at the top, Gabriel is coming on the back of a quickfire 45 off just 26 balls. He is most likely to give you points.

There are two bowling options from MAC in Lennice Modeste and Christian Ange. Ange, however, has churned out 35 points in the last game after picking a wicket and conceding a mere 12 runs.
Meanwhile, for VFNR, a certain Johann Williams remains the obvious choice given his current run of form. The bowler picked two wickets in his last game against Central Castries Mindoo Heritage while giving away just six runs.

Al Prince of VFNR is the safest bet to go with considering that he returned with 66 points from the last game after picking two wickets. Another option to consider is Ernell Sexius from VFNR itself.
For a wicketkeeper, it’s a close call between Junior Peter of VFNR and Michel Louisy of MAC, but given the form the two teams are in, the safe option here would be the former.
