The second edition of Legends League Cricket will start from September 20 in Muscat, Oman.
Legends League Cricket is a competitive tournament, which features cricketers of renown, who have retired recently. The inaugural edition was held in January earlier this year.
The second Legends League Cricket tournament will feature four teams, playing a total of 15 matches over three weeks.
As many as 110 players including 80 legendary cricketers have submitted their names for the Player Draft process, which will be held in early August.
Former India cricketers Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan are expected to feature in Legends League Cricket 2022.
“I love to be on the cricket field. I missed playing the first season of LLC but it would be great to go back into the field with the LLC season 2,” Sehwag said.

The first season of Legends League Cricket saw as many as three teams, India Maharajas, Asia Lions and World Giants, compete. The tournament featured former cricketers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England and Australia.
The additional team for the Legends League season 2 is yet to be announced.
“Excited to announce that I’ll be back in action playing Legends League Cricket in September. So I am really looking forward to being in Oman,” Irfan Pathan added.
Former India cricket team coach and captain Ravi Shastri has been the Commissioner of Legends League Cricket tournament since last season.
“The Carnival of Legends is back. Top cricketers from around the world will be seen coming together. These players have contributed immensely to cricket throughout their careers. I am looking forward to watching them play the Legends League Cricket second season,” Ravi Shastri said.
World Giants will go into the second season as defending champions, having defeated Asia Lions by 25 runs in the final of the inaugural edition.
