The 52nd match of Vitality T20 Blast 2021 will see Kent (KET) taking on Essex (ESS) in the South Group match at St. Lawrence Ground in Canterbury, on Sunday, June 20.

Five matches into the season, Essex sit eighth in the South Group points table with just one win and three losses. They have three points and a net run rate of -0.837.

Kent, on the other hand, have managed four wins and one loss in their five T20 matches so far. They sit third in the table with eight points and an NRR of 0.520.

KET vs ESS Dream11 prediction

Kent and Essex have made contrasting starts to their Vitality T20 Blast 2021 campaign. Apart from their good recent form, the Kent cricket club has also been the more successful side in their recent match-ups with Essex.

Kent have won four of their last five encounters with Essex and they will go into the fixture as the favourites.

KET vs ESS Dream11 team tips

Top tip: Best batsmen

Zak Crawley could be the pick of the batsmen from Kent's camp. The England international is in good form in the T20 tournament. It was Crawley’s quickfire knock of 48 runs that gave Kent the victory over Somerset earlier this week, and he is expected to build on that momentum.

Essex batsman Michael Pepper will be the best bet from his side. The middle-order batsman has been one of the few positives in Essex's underwhelming season so far and is expected to carry on with his consistency this season.

Top tip: Best bowlers

Matt Milnes was by far the best bowler for Kent in their last match against Glamorgan. Even in their losing cause, Milnes returned with figures of 5/22 in just 3.4 overs, bowling as many as 10 dot balls. This is the best time to have him in one's fantasy team.

Aron Nijjar has been picking wickets for Essex when all around him have failed. The slow left-arm orthodox's return of 2/26 in three overs was the only challenge Essex could pose against Sussex in the last match. Nijjar could be a decent pick from the Essex team.

Top tip: All-rounder and wicket-keeper

Joe Denly could be a good all-round option from this fixture. Apart from his bowling contribution, Denly comes to bat first down for Kent which means he faces more balls than most other players in the team. He could be a real point-getter for fantasy team owners.

Kent have a good wicket-keeping option in Sam Billings. Coming second down in the batting order, he has been an important cog in their wheel this campaign. His run-a-ball 30 was crucial in Kent's 40-run win over Glamorgan on a tricky wicket. Billings will be a good wicket-keeping option.

KET vs ESS probable playing XI

Kent (KET) playing XI (probable): Zak Crawley, Daniel Bell-Drummond (captain), Joe Denly, Sam Billings (wicket-keeper), Jack Leaning, Jordan Cox, Darren Stevens, Grant Stewart, Qais Ahmad, Matt Mines, Fred Klaassen
