The Kenya cricket team will host Nigeria in a five-match T20 International series starting on Friday.

As per the Kenya vs Nigeria T20 2024 schedule, all five matches of the series will be played at the Sikh Union Club Ground in Nairobi on July 12, 13, 15, 16 and 17. Live streaming will be available in India.

Ranked 32nd in the T20I team rankings, Kenya will be high on confidence after reaching the final of the recently-concluded Kenya Quadrangular Cup 2024.

Having registered eight wins while the other game ended with no result, Kenya finished at the top of the Kenya Quadrangular Cup 2024 with 17 points from nine matches.

However, the Kenya Quadrangular Cup 2024 final against Malawi was later abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Apart from Kenya and Malawi, Zambia and Rwanda were the other teams in the Kenya Quadrangular Cup 2024.

On the other hand, the Nigeria national cricket team last participated in the African Games 2024 held in Accra, Ghana.

Led by captain Sylvester Okpe, Nigeria failed to qualify for the semi-final after they finished at the bottom of Group B standings.

Currently ranked 37th in the T20I team rankings, Nigeria defeated Namibia while suffering defeats against Tanzania and Zimbabwe Emerging Players team in the African Games 2024. 

Ahead of the five-match T20I series, Nigeria have announced their 14-man squad that will compete against hosts Kenya.

Kenya have a dominant head-to-head record against Nigeria in T20 international cricket, winning six of the seven matches played between these two sides. On the other hand, Nigeria have registered just a solitary T20I victory over Kenya so far.

The last time these two sides met, Kenya beat Nigeria by four wickets in an ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Region Qualifier clash in Windhoek in November 2023.
