The Indian Veteran Premier League 2024 is scheduled to start on February 23 in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Organised by the Board for Veteran Cricket in India (BVCI), as many as six teams will play a total of 18 T20 matches in the inaugural Indian Veteran Premier League.

Chhattisgarh Warriors, Mumbai Champions, Rajasthan Legends, Red Carpet Delhi, Telangana Tigers and VVIP Uttar Pradesh are the teams that will feature in the first-ever IVPL T20.

As per the schedule, each team will play the other five sides once in a single round-robin format. The top four teams in the standings after all the 15 league matches will qualify for the semi-finals.

The winners of the two semi-finals will clash in the Indian Veteran Premier League 2024 final on March 3.

All matches of the upcoming T20 tournament will be played at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida. It was earlier scheduled to be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun. 

Former Indian fast bowler Munaf Patel will captain Chhattisgarh Warriors while Mumbai Champions will be led by former Indian opening batter Virender Sehwag.

Ex-Indian pacer Praveen Kumar will lead Rajasthan Legends and former South African batter Herschelle Gibbs has been appointed the captain of Red Carpet Delhi.

Legendary West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle will captain Telangana Tigers whereas former India cricketer Suresh Raina has been given the leadership responsibility of VVIP Uttar Pradesh.

Alongside Indian veteran cricketers, several retired overseas cricketers including the likes of Dwayne Smith, Angelo Perera, Asghar Afghan, Thisara Perera, Imran Tahir, Ricardo Powell, Dilshan Munaweera, Dan Christian, Chris Mpofu and Peter Trego will participate in the upcoming T20 tournament.

The Indian Veteran Premier League 2024 will be telecast live on EuroSport and DD Sports TV channels. 

Live streaming of the IVPL 2024 T20 will be available on the FanCode app and website in India.
