The India women's cricket team will host Australia Women in a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series starting on Thursday, December 28.
As per the India Women vs Australia Women ODI series 2023-24 schedule, all three matches will be played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After the opening ODI, the final two games of the three-match series are scheduled to be held on December 30 and January 2. All matches will be available on live streaming and telecast in India.
India Women will be brimming with confidence after registering back-to-back Test victories. The Women in Blue secured their first-ever Test win against Australia as they won the one-off Test by eight wickets.
Earlier, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side thrashed England Women by 347 runs at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Harmanpreet Kaur will continue to lead the Indian squad for the ODI series while Smriti Mandhana will remain the vice-captain.
Meanwhile, India’s 16-member squad includes four uncapped ODI players — Shreyanka Patil, Titas Sadhu, Saika Ishaque and Mannat Kashya. Wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh and fast bowler Renuka Singh have also returned to the ODI squad.
The likes of Priya Punia, Devika Vaidya, Meghna Singh, Monica Patel, Uma Chetry, Anjali Sarvani, Rashi Kanojiya and Bareddy Anusha, who featured in the ODI series against Bangladesh, have been dropped for the Australia series.
On the other hand, the Australia women’s cricket team will be led by Alyssa Healy. Vice-captain Tahlia McGrath, Ellyse Perry, Ashleigh Gardner, Beth Mooney, Megan Schutt and Jess Jonassen are also included in the star-studded Australian ODI squad.

Australia Women have a dominant head-to-head record against India Women in One-Day International cricket, winning 40 of the 50 matches that they have played so far. India Women have registered just 10 victories.
The last time these two sides met in the 50-over format, Australia Women beat India Women by six wickets in a league match in the ICC Women's World Cup 2022 in Auckland.
