Team India will square off against Zimbabwe in their final group stage match of the T20 World Cup 2022 on November 6 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia. The Super 12 match is scheduled to commence at 1:30 PM IST.

India are currently at the top in Group 2, with three wins and one loss in four matches. They came one step closer to the semis berth with a five-run win over Bangladesh in the previous match.

The Rohit Sharma-led side began their campaign with a four-wicket win over Pakistan followed by a resounding 56-run victory against Netherlands to make it two wins in a row.

Post that, India faced a formidable South African side. The Proteas’ pacer Lungi Ngidi recorded figures of 4/29 to restrict India to 133/9 before Aiden Markram and David Miller scored fifties to take their team over the line in a five-wicket win.

Talking about the form of players, Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli have been the standout batters by a mile.

While SKY has scored 164 runs from four games including two half-centuries, Virat Kohli is the leading run-getter of the tournament so far, with 220 runs. He has failed to cross the 50-run mark just once in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Pacer Arshdeep Singh has been consistent from the bowling department, scalping at least two wickets in every game. He is the top wicket-taker of the team so far, with nine wickets in four encounters.

A win for India in this contest will ensure the top spot in Group 2.

On the other hand, the Zimbabwe cricket team found itself fortunate to get away with a point in their first match against South Africa. The Proteas were cruising towards the win before rain played spoilsport, enforcing a no result.

A better performance followed in the next match, with a narrow one-run win over Pakistan. Veteran all-rounders Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza shone with the bat and ball, respectively, to clinch only their second win over Pakistan in the shortest format of the game.

Nonetheless, they lost their last two games against Bangladesh and Netherlands to find themselves on the brink of a group phase exit yet again.
