The Indian women’s cricket team’s tour of Sri Lanka begins with a three-match T20I series from June 23.
The tour, which also features three ODIs, will be India’s maiden assignment following the retirement of former captain Mithali Raj. Star bowler Jhulan Goswami will also be missing from the squad.
While Harmanpreet Kaur will captain the team for the white-ball tour as India’s new full-time limited-overs skipper, Smriti Mandhana has been named as vice-captain.
The Sri Lanka women’s cricket team’s squad for the India series will be captained by Chamari Athapaththu. The hosts will have the same squad for both the T20I and ODI series.
While the T20I series will be played at Dambulla, the three ODIs will be held at Pallekele.
