The India vs Bangladesh T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up match is scheduled to be played in New York on Saturday, June 1. The warm-up match will start at 8:00 PM IST.

Led by captain Rohit Sharma, the Indian cricket team will play just a solitary warm-up match at the newly-built Nassau County International Cricket Stadium ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in the West Indies and the United States.

Meanwhile, the Men in Blue have received a massive boost as star batter Virat Kohli is expected to arrive in New York before the warm-up match against Bangladesh.

Kohli earlier requested a short break from the BCCI after his campaign ended with Team Bengaluru in the recently-concluded Indian T20 League 2024.

Meanwhile, Team India’s 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup has departed in batches for the United States.

Captain Rohit Sharma, head coach Rahul Dravid, batting coach Vikram Rathour and other players in the travelling contingent including Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Akshar Patel, and travelling reserves Shubman Gill and Khaleel Ahmed have already reached New York.

The second batch of players, including Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yuzvendra Chahal and Avesh Khan, will join the squad on May 28.

Inaugural T20 World Cup champions India is placed in Group A alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, Ireland, Canada and the United States.

Rohit Sharma’s men will begin their campaign against Ireland on June 5 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

The much-awaited India vs Pakistan ICC T20 World Cup 2024 match will be played at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on June 9.

Following the opening two matches, India will take on co-hosts USA on June 12 and face Canada on June 15. All India matches will start at 8:00 PM IST.

On the other hand, the Bangladesh cricket team will head into the fixture after their warm-up match against co-hosts United States was abandoned due to rain and thunder in Dallas on Tuesday.

The Najmul Hossain Shanto-led Bangladesh will aim to quickly bounce back after suffering a 1-2 T20I series defeat against the United States in a recently-concluded three-match series last week.

The India vs Bangladesh T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up match will be 20 overs per side and will not have international T20 status, allowing teams to field all members of their 15-player squad.
