The International League T20 (ILT20) 2024 began on January 19 and will run till February 17 in the United Arab Emirates.
Organised by the Emirates Cricket Board, the second edition of the ILT20 will witness six teams compete in a total of 34 T20 matches across three venues - Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Desert Vipers, Dubai Capitals, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates and Sharjah Warriors are the teams competing for the ILT20 2024 title.
As per the schedule, each team will play the five sides twice in a double round-robin format. The top four teams in the standings after all the league matches will qualify for the playoffs.
The top two teams in the standings at the end of the regular season will lock horns in Qualifier 1 for a place in the final.
The third and fourth-placed teams will clash in the Eliminator to advance to Qualifier 2.
The winner of the Eliminator will face the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2 for the other spot in the final.
The ILT20 2024 final will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on February 17.
Gulf Giants are the defending ILT20 champions after beating Desert Vipers by seven wickets in the final of the inaugural season in 2023.
ILT20 2024 points table format
The ILT20 will follow a double round-robin format during the league phase.
Each team will get two points for a win and one for a tie. If the match is still tied after the allotted amount of regular time, the winner will be decided by a super over.
If two or more teams are tied on points, the Net Run Rate (NRR) will come into play with the side having a superior NRR getting positioned higher.
In the case of equal points and run rate for a team in the points table of the group stage, the team with the highest number of wins will finish higher in the ILT20 standings. Get the latest ILT20 2024 points table and standings.
