The ICC World Cup 2023 warm-up matches are scheduled to start on September 29 and run till October 3 in India.

Hosts India, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the Netherlands are the 10 teams that will feature in the ICC World Cup 2023 warm-up matches ahead of the marquee 50-over tournament.

As per the schedule confirmed by the International Cricket Council (ICC), all 10 teams will play two warm-up games in order to get some match practice.

Guwahati, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram are the three venues that will host ICC World Cup 2023 warm-up matches.

Bangladesh will square off against Sri Lanka in Guwahati, while South Africa will clash with Afghanistan in Thiruvananthapuram in the first set of warm-up games on September 29. Meanwhile, New Zealand will take on Pakistan in Hyderabad on the same day.

Defending champions England will lock horns with India in their first warm-up game at Barsapara Cricket Stadium on September 30 before facing Bangladesh in their second warm-up fixture at the same venue on October 2.

Rohit Sharma-led India are also scheduled to face Netherlands in Thiruvananthapuram on October 3.

Just like previous ICC World Cup events, warm-up fixtures will be 50 overs per side. These matches will not carry ODI status as teams will be allowed to field all members of their 15-man squad.

England will later take on New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2023 opener at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 5.

A total of 48 matches will be played with the final scheduled to be held on November 19 at the same venue.
