India beat Namibia by nine wickets to end their ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 journey on a high. After having decided to bowl first, India restricted Namibia to just 132/8 with Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja causing the damage. The two spinners combined for six wickets (three wickets each) while conceding just 36 runs.

Meanwhile, it was another forgetful night for Mohammed Shami as he went wicketless and conceded 39 runs in his four overs. Apart from Shami and Rahul Chahar, none of the bowlers conceded runs in access of five runs per over. David Wiese, with 26 runs, was the top scorer for Namibia while Stephan Baard scored 21.

India started the second innings on the front foot, with the openers combining for 54 runs in the powerplay overs. Rohit Sharma scored the half-century in 31 deliveries and KL Rahul followed suit after the 34-year-old was dismissed. The win ended India's run at the T20 World Cup 2021 as they finish third in Super 12 Group 2, after leaders Pakistan and second-placed New Zealand.

"As a bowler, I did enjoy bowling today," said tonight's Man of the Match, Ravindra Jadeja.

"The ball was dry so I enjoyed bowling with a dry ball. Some balls were turning, some were going straight, so that's also a trick, the batsman has to keep on guessing. (on Ashwin) I'm enjoying bowling with him, I've been playing with him since 10 years. He's doing wonderfully with the white ball, did it in IPL also. Virat has been wonderful with the captaincy, and I've played with him for 10-12 years too.

"I always enjoyed his captaincy. He's positive and aggressive that's what you want as a player. (On the departing support staff) They have done a great job as supporting staff for 7-8 years and we've enjoyed being with them."

The next assignment for India is New Zealand's visit for three T20Is and two Tests. The series starts on November 17 with the first T20I scheduled to be played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Take a look at how the match panned out.
