ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2: Scotland look to maintain to spot - watch live in India

The final cycle of the 2019-2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 will commence from February 14, 2023. All the matches in this cycle will be staged at the Kirtipur Cricket Stadium (Nepal) and the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (UAE).

While the fixtures which will be held in Nepal are scheduled to begin at 8:45 AM IST, the contests taking place in UAE will start from 11:00 AM IST.

Five teams, namely Scotland, Nepal, Namibia, Papua New Guinea and UAE will square off against each other. 

USA and Oman, the other two participants of the 2019-2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2, will not play following the completion of their quota of 36 matches.

According to the format of the competition, the top three teams will qualify for the 2023 World Cup qualifiers whereas the other four sides will progress to the 2023 World Cup qualifier play-off, which will be held one week after the conclusion of the Cricket World Cup League 2.

As things stand, Scotland is the only team to seal a spot in the 2023 Cricket World Cup qualifiers. Meanwhile, USA and Papua New Guinea will go through to the 2023 World Cup qualifier play-off.

Hence, plenty is at stake for the remaining sides as the results in the upcoming encounters will decide their fate for the 50-over cricketing mega event which will be held in India later this year.  

Talking about the top performers in this ongoing league, USA’s Monank Patel heads the scoring charts with 1,219 runs in 35 matches at an average of 36.93, including two tons and eight half-centuries. As for wicket-takers, Oman’s Bilal Khan leads the pack with 76 scalps in 35 matches.

There will be no telecast of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 in India.
