The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Regional Final 2023 will start on July 20 and run till July 28 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The winner and runner-up at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Regional Final 2023 will qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 to be hosted by the West Indies and the United States.
Hosts Scotland, Austria, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Jersey are the seven teams that will compete in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Regional Final 2023 for the two spots at the biggest-ever ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024.
As per the format, each team will play the other side once in a round-robin format. The top two teams in the standings after all the league matches will qualify for the marquee ICC T20 tournament.
Denmark defeated Portugal by nine wickets in the sub-regional Qualifier C final to become the first team to advance to the upcoming regional final. Meanwhile, Italy beat the Isle of Man by seven wickets in the final of the sub-regional Qualifier A to progress to the regional final.
Austria were the final team to qualify for the regional final after overcoming Norway in the sub-regional Qualifier B final.
Germany and Jersey made it to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Regional Final 2023 having received a bye after competing in the global qualifiers last year.
Scotland and Ireland failed to qualify directly for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 and will now compete in the Europe Regional Final 2023.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Regional Final 2023 matches will be played at two venues in Edinburgh - Grange Cricket Club and Goldenacre Cricket Ground.
