Ginger Generals (GG) will take on Nutmeg Warriors (NW) in the ninth game of the Dream11 Spice Isle T10 on Wednesday, June 2, at the National Cricket Stadium in St George’s, Grenada.
Both sides have won their opening game of the tournament and will be keen to be on top of the points table after they square off.
Overcast conditions are expected and while the pitch at the venue has aided batsmen as well as bowlers in the past, the average score has been around an impressive 91-run mark.

Although both teams have started their tournament on a winning note, the Nutmeg Warriors will begin this game as slight favourites after their thumping 10-wicket win over Cinnamon Pacers in their opening match. On the other hand, Ginger Generals restricted the Bay Leaf Blasters to 91/6 in 10 overs, after setting a target of 107 in their last outing. GG will pose a difficult challenge for the Warriors, who go into the contest riding on the confidence of a commanding win.

West Indian opening batsman Andre Fletcher should be a part of all fantasy cricket teams. The NW opener likes to throw his bat in the powerplay and as we have seen in the past, he can also be unorthodox while scoring runs. Moreover, he is a brilliant fielder and wicket-keeper too. Drop him at your peril.
McDonald Daniel gave 39 fantasy points in his first match by picking up a wicket while keeping his economy rate to seven. He is likely to bat at no.5 for GG and will be keen to get among the runs at the earliest.
Top tip: Best bowlers
GG’s Larry Edwards picked up a wicket in the first game, keeping his economy to six per over besides also scoring 12 to amass 58 fantasy points. He should be one of the top picks in your team since he’s likely to be among the wickets once again and can also have an impact with the bat in the middle order.
Pascal Nelon picked up a wicket after bowling his full quota of two overs in the first game. He has already got 41 fantasy cricket points for NW and is only likely to add to that tally with his skilful bowling as the tournament progresses.
Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper
Akeem Alexis is likely to bat at no.3 and could also be asked to bowl two overs for NW. He didn’t score any runs in the first game, but did walk away with a wicket.
GG’s Matthew Anil could be a good pick in the wicket-keeper category. Opening the batting in the first game, he may have only scored seven runs, but sticking with him might help as he is expected to go hard at the bowlers in the powerplay.
