Following the success of the Road Safety World Series as well as the Legends League Cricket, the ARBA Sports Services LLC in association with The Safety Ambassadors Council of Dubai are all set to stage a new cricket tournament which they have named the Friendship Cup UAE 2022.
The three-day-long tournament will commence on March Saturday, March 5 with the final scheduled for Monday, March 7. Four teams, including India Legends, Pakistan Legends, World 11 Legends and Bollywood Kings will be a part of the competition, with all the matches taking place at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
India Legends and World 11 Legends will kick start the tournament on March 5, followed by Bollywood Kings taking on Pakistan Legends later on the same day. All matches will be played in the T10 format, which means each innings will have 10 overs per team.
The Friendship Cup UAE 2022 is set to be nostalgic for many as some of the finest cricketers from the past have been invited by the organizers. This includes Mohammad Azharuddin, Venkatesh Prasad, Vinod Kambli and even Ajantha Mendis.
As far as glamour goes, the Bollywood Kings boast plenty of firepower in that department with the likes of Suniel Shetty, Sharad Kelkar, Ritesh Deshmukh and Bobby Deol being a few.
