After the one-off Test last month, the South African women’s cricket team continues its tour of England with the white-ball series from July 11.

The one-off Test in June ended in a draw after rains played spoilsport.

England and South Africa will now reconvene for the limited-overs leg of the bilateral tour. The ODI series will begin Monday, July 11, while the T20I series gets underway on July 21.

For starters, the England women’s cricket team’s last white-ball cricket assignment was the 2022 ICC Women’s World Cup, where they lost to Australia by 71 runs.

South Africa, on the flip side, are coming off a successful tour of Ireland where they registered series wins in the T20I (2-1) and ODI (3-0) format.

The Heather Knight-led England have dominated the bilateral series head-to-head against South Africa across all formats.

In Tests, England has claimed two series wins. In white-ball cricket, the hosts have registered nine (ODI) and five (T20I) series wins, respectively.

Initially, England and South Africa were to play four ODIs and two T20Is in September 2020, with all the matches taking place at the County Cricket Ground in Derby. However, it was called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In February 2022, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) came out with a revised schedule consisting of three ODIs, three T20Is and a one-off Test match.
