The England Women vs Pakistan Women ODI 2024 series will start in Derby, England on Thursday, May 23.
The upcoming three-match ODI series is a part of the ongoing ICC Women's Championship 2022-25.
With nine wins in 15 matches, England Women are currently placed third in the ICC Women's Championship 2022-25 standings with 19 points.
Pakistan Women, on the other hand, have registered eight wins and suffered 13 defeats. They are placed fifth in the standings with 16 points from 21 games. The top five will directly qualify for the 2025 ODI World Cup to be held in India.
As per the England Women vs Pakistan Women ODI 2024 schedule, both sides will later travel to Taunton to play the second ODI at The Cooper Associates County Ground scheduled on May 26.
The third and final ODI of the series will be played at the County Ground in Chelmsford on May 29.
England are currently ranked second in ICC women’s ODI team rankings, while Pakistan are languishing 10th in the rankings.
Furthermore, the hosts will head into the ODI series brimming with confidence after registering a 3-0 series win in the recently-concluded three-match T20I series.
The England women's national cricket team will once again be led by Heather Knight. Wicketkeeper-batter Tammy Beaumont has been named in the 13-member squad.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan women's national cricket team will look to bounce back after their dismal show in the T20I series.
Nida Dar will lead the Pakistan Women’s 17-member ODI squad. Sidra Nawaz and Bismah Maroof, who recently announced her retirement are the two exclusions from the squad that played against West Indies.
England Women vs Pakistan Women ODI head-to-head
England Women have a dominant head-to-head record against Pakistan Women in ODI cricket, winning 11 of the 12 matches that they have played so far. The other game ended with no result.
The last time these two sides met in the ODI format, England Women thrashed Pakistan Women by nine wickets in an ICC Women's World Cup match in Christchurch in March 2022.
