England will host the Indian cricket team for one rescheduled Test, three T20Is and as many ODIs, starting July 1.
The rescheduled Test is from last year’s India tour of England, which was postponed due to rising COVID-19 cases in the Indian camp. India were leading 2-1 when the fifth Test in Manchester was postponed.
The visitors are looking to clinch their first Test series win in England since 2007. Led by captain Rohit Sharma, India have announced their 17-member squad for the rescheduled Test.
Vice-captain KL Rahul is set to miss the England tour after failing to recover from right groin strain.
Without Rahul, Rohit and Shubman Gill are the two available openers for Team India.
Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara returns to the Test squad after being dropped from the New Zealand series last year.
KS Bharat replaces Wriddhiman Saha as the second choice wicket-keeper behind Rishabh Pant.
However, the Indian cricket board is yet to announce the squads for the limited-over series’ whereas England have not announced any squad for the three formats.
