After the T20I series ended 1-1, the England vs Australia ODI 2024 cricket series will start at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Thursday, September 19.

As per the England vs Australia ODI 2024 schedule, both sides will lock horns in a five-match series in the United Kingdom.

Following the opening England vs Australia ODI 2024 in Nottingham, both teams will travel to Leeds to play the second game at the Headingley Cricket Ground on September 21.

The third ODI will be played at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street on September 24 while the fourth game is scheduled to take place at Lord's on September 27.

The fifth and final England vs Australia ODI 2024 will be played at the County Ground in Bristol on September 29.

The England cricket team will once again miss the services of their white-ball captain Jos Buttler as he is still recovering from a right calf injury.

Ranked seventh in the ICC ODI team rankings, England will be led by stand-in captain Harry Brook.

Swashbuckling all-rounder Liam Livingstone has also been recalled to England’s ODI squad in the absence of Buttler.

Meanwhile, young left-arm pacer Josh Hull has been ruled out of the upcoming five-match ODI series after sustaining a minor quad injury on Test debut at The Oval.

On the other hand, ODI World Cup champions Australia will be led by Mitchell Marsh.

The world’s second-ranked ODI side has received a massive boost with the return of their experienced players including Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Alex Carey and Mitchell Starc for the upcoming ODI series.

Ahead of the ODI series, the Australia cricket team has suffered big blows with injuries to several of their pace bowlers. The likes of Xavier Bartlett, Nathan Ellis, Spencer Johnson and Riley Meredith will miss the upcoming ODI series.

As a result, the visitors have included 19-year-old right-arm seamer Mahli Beardman as a standby in the ODI squad.

Left-arm pacer Ben Dwarshuis and batting all-rounder Cooper Connolly have also been included in Australia’s ODI squad.
