The England-Australia rivalry is set to continue with the three-match One-Day International series starting on Friday, September 11.

Australia will be seeking revenge after their 2-1 loss in the T20I series, while hosts England will be aiming to continue their unbeaten series record since the resumption of cricket in August.

The visitors have been quite underwhelming in ODIs this year and are currently on a five-game losing streak. After beating India by 10 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in January, the Kangaroos lost the next two ODIs and lost the series 1-2, before being whitewashed by the Proteas in their three-match ODI series in South Africa.

England's only forays in ODI cricket in 2020 include the three-match series against the Proteas in South Africa, which was ended with a 1-1 draw. They also beat Ireland 2-1 in last month's three-match series.

England certainly have the upper hand heading into the series but the much-needed morale-boosting victory in the third T20I could prove to be the springboard that Australia yearned for ahead of this ODI series.
