The third day of eCricket Matches 2020 saw four games being played to completion on Friday, May 15. There were some memorable performances in the simulated reality league cricket tournament, and here we look at what transpired through the day and bring you the summary of each game.

A poor start belied PAK's final score but some heavy-hitting in the second half of the game propelled them to a total of 56 runs, with Baba Azem anchoring his side's innings with a knock sprinkled with a hat-trick of sixes.

With a bowling attack that has been just as potent so far in the tournament as their batting, it looked like a tough task for LaughingBuddha's BAN. However, BAN put on a lion-hearted performance, making it clear from the outset that the big target set by PAK was firmly in their sights, and some healthy tallies throughout the batting order saw them finish the chase successfully with three balls to spare.

REAPERSSLAM (AUS) v KINGSPIN (IND), Match 12 - KINGSPIN won by one wicket

After winning the toss and opting to bat, ReapersSlam's AUS, just like in the game against ENG earlier in the tournament, were crippled by a tight final over from Bhuvan Kumar giving away just four runs, setting the target at 42 for IND.

IND's highly experimental batting order that saw Rohan Sharma way down in No. 11 defied logic and looked like it might end up hurting them. However, despite huffing and puffing their way through the innings, a critical boundary by Sharma on the final ball, which was deemed an overthrow, saved IND from a tie and handed them the win.

WHITESHADOW (AFG) v RAGEHAV (SL), Match 13 - WHITESHADOW won by 11 runs

After being put to bat by Ragehav’s SL’s decision to field following their coin-toss win, Whiteshadow's AFG were slow off the blocks and never managed to gather any steam. With the exception of Kushal Perera, SL bowled really well, restricting AFG to 38/3.

It was quite a shock for all on attendance then when SL were unable to chase down AFG's modest total. It was down to some sensational bowling from AFG, with Dawlat Zedren setting the tone in the opening over and the others following the same tune. The fact that AFG's most expensive over was seven runs speaks for how tight their bowling was and therefore, it was not surprising that SL could only manage to pick up 28 runs before the overs ran out.

MAVERICK (NZ) v KINGSPIN (SA), Match 14 - Match abandoned

Maverick's NZ won the toss and opted to bat. However, after opener Callum Munro barely got a solitary run in NZ's kitty, the match was abandoned due to unforeseen circumstances and the next match has been shifted as well, to the start of Saturday’s line-up.

Don't be disappointed though as we will be back with more exciting action, starting as early as 0900 IST (0330 GMT) on Saturday, May 16!
