The Germany women cricket team mark their return to competitive action with a five-game T20I series against neighbours France between July 8 and July 10 at the National Performance Centre in Krefeld.
The Germans, ranked 25th in the world, have won their last nine T20I matches since February 2020 including their 5-0 rout of Austria last year. Given their solid recent record in T20I matches, the Anuradha Doddaballapur-led side will be eager to extend their winning run.
France women, meanwhile, haven’t played international cricket in almost two years but can take solace in the fact that they have lost only one of their last five games. Despite going into the upcoming T20I series as underdogs, the French team will fancy their chances of pulling off a shock upset courtesy strong performances by Jennifer King and Emmanuelle Brelivet.
The bilateral series between Germany Women and France Women is set to be played entirely in Krefeld, a venue previously used for the European Cricket Network’s 10-over tournament.
