Denmark vs Finland T20I series to begin on May 7 - watch live in India

Finland’s national cricket team is all set to tour Denmark for a three-match T20I series, scheduled to begin on Saturday, May 7 till May 8. All the matches of the series will be played at Svanholm Park in Brondby.

The fast-paced series will have two matches being played on the opening day, May 7, and conclude with the final game on May 8.

While this is going to be Finland’s first T20I assignment since August 2021 when they took on Sweden, Denmark, themselves, haven’t played a lot of international cricket. Their previous outing was an ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier match against Jersey last October, which they lost by four wickets.

Before that, Denmark also took on Sweden in a three-match T20I series which they won 2-1. As for Finland, they drew their four-match T20I series against the same opponent.

Meanwhile, it’s been more than three years since Denmark played Finland in the shortest format. In a two-match T20I series that was played in 2019, Denmark completed a clean sweep.

Interestingly enough, the top scorer from that series was Zameer Khan, who has been selected for the upcoming series too. The batter scored 33 runs off 29 balls in two matches. As for the bowlers, Bashir Shah with three wickets was the highest wicket-taker.
