Chitwan Tigers take on Pokhara Rhinos in the Everest Premier League 2021 final at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Saturday, October 9.
Led by captain Sompal Kami, the Tigers thrashed Rhinos by nine wickets in Qualifier 1 to secure their place in the summit clash. The Chitwan Tigers had earlier finished as EPL T20 2021 table-toppers with four wins and one loss in five matches this season.
On the other hand, Pokhara Rhinos defeated Bhairahawa Gladiators by seven wickets in Qualifier 2 to set up a mouth-watering clash against Chitwan Tigers. The Binod Bhandari-led side finished third in the group stage with three victories and one defeat. One match was abandoned without a bowl being bowled.
In the last four Chitwan Tigers vs Pokhara Rhinos matches, the Tigers have won the last three matches while the Rhinos have secured just one victory.
Both sides will look to claim their maiden Everest Premier League title on Saturday.
