The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) 2024 began on February 23 and continued till March 17.
As many as eight teams competed in a total of 20 matches across five venues in the 10th edition of the CCL.
Bengal Tigers, Bhojpuri Dabanggs, Chennai Rhinos, Karnataka Bulldozers, Kerala Strikers, Mumbai Heroes, Punjab De Sher and Telugu Warriors were the eight teams battling for the CCL 2024 title.
Each team played four matches in the league stage of CCL 2024. The top four teams in the standings then advanced to the playoffs.
The top two teams faced each other in the first qualifier while the third and fourth-placed teams clashed in the eliminator.
The winner of the eliminator squared off against the loser of the first qualifier in the second qualifier for a place in the final.
The CCL 2024 final was held in Vizag on March 17.
All the matches were played in the T20 format, but in two innings of 10 overs each per side.
Sharjah, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Trivandrum, and Vizag were the venues that hosted CCL 2024 matches.
Bengal Tigers won the CCL 2024 trophy.
Telugu Warriors were the defending CCL champions after beating Bhojpuri Dabanggs by nine wickets in the 2023 final. They are also the most successful team in CCL history with four titles, having won in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2023.
Ritesh Deshmukh, Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Arya, Jisshu Sengupta, Sohail Khan, Suniel Shetty, Sonu Sood, Sudeep Kiccha, Manikuttan, Aftab Shivdasani, Jay Bhanushali, Saqib Saleem, Jimmy Shergil and Shabir Ahluwalia are some of the cinema, television stars and celebrities that participated in CCL 2024.
CCL 2024 points table format
Each team got two points for a win and one for a tie or no result in CCL 2024. If two or more teams are tied on points, the Net Run Rate (NRR) will come into play with the side having a superior NRR getting positioned higher. Get the latest CCL 2024 points table and standings.
